Find Your Flow
Thank you for completing the Setup Survey. Now that I have an idea of how you get things done, we can take a step back and see how we can optimize your current workflow for the project(s) that lay ahead.
A little about flow. Csikszentmihalyi describes flow as, “A state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter.” As both a product manager and a consultant, helping my clients and team get “in the zone” is a critical part of my responsibility. Although we are not olympic athletes meticulously training for the next games, our overall efficiency towards goals and our ability to stay in-tune with one another is the largest success factor for a new organization or product.
To help my new clients and early stage teams find flow (with me and with each other), I begin our work together by setting the framework for our flow with a custom user portal. Like all my processes, this stage of the portal set up is a 4 step process.
The 4 step portal set up process includes:
1) Schedule a 30 min convo to review the Setup Survey
2) Review and revise a mockup of your interface and toolkit
3) Set up and approve your user portal
4) Assign user permissions
As always, the aim of these processes are to set my clients and our projects up for success. For my clients with robust internal workflow systems, this portal will just act as an access point for invoices and notes, while my start up clients will rely on the portal to manage their team while they undergo building their own systems. Either way, it is all up to you. You are here, so live, love and enjoy the process.
“The best moments in our lives are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times… The best moments usually occur if a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile.”
– Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
